Use of Proper Anchor Text in Link Building
I have seen lots of sites who do not know how to build links properly but just have learnt that link building is vital part of seo, use anchor text like this Boston travel, travel packages to Boston. This kind of anchor text is not going to help that site because it’s highly unlikely that someone will search Boston travel, travel packages to Boston with this keyword. Either he will search with Boston travel or travel packages to Boston. If you build links with such long keyword you cannot get the reward you are looking to get in terms of search engine ranking.
Over use of same anchor text can be harmful for your site too. So try to mix anchor texts when building links. Google just does not want someone manipulates their ranking policy through excessive linking. If you use same anchor text over and over again there is a chance of temporary ban in Google for that keyword. I know it seems puzzling but it’s like this way. To avoid getting penalized you should choose 5 - 10 keywords and distribute links depending on the keyword competitiveness.
